  • The Details: Juva Skincare Brightening Essence costs rrp $87 for 2 x vials, Brightening Enhancer costs rrp $92 for 50ml, and Brightening Lotion costs rrp $69 for 60ml, available from www.juva-skincare.com.au.

Road Test

Juva Skincare is a Taiwan based skincare company offering a lineup of products inspired by nature and driven by science. Founded in 2015 after years of research and development, it is a blend of east and west, with the star ingredient being fullerene, a substance which has been known about for some time, but only recently has been adapted for use in skin care. The most exciting element of fullerene is that it can act as a potent antioxidant to can scavenge free radicals, one of the major causes of skin ageing, as well as related numerous skin conditions including acne, rosacea and eczema. Fullerene easily reacts with free radicals, soaking them up like a sponge so they can’t react with your skin and damage it. The key to using fullerene effectively in skin care, however, is making it stable; Juva Skincare managed to do this, and formulated a number of key products which can be used on their own, or incorporated into an existing regime. The groundbreaking fullerene not only ensures regenerated and radiant skin, but also aids in increasing the absorption of other skincare products, essentially making your current skincare regime more effective. I was sent three key products to road test; Brightening Enhancer, Brightening Essence and Brightening Lotion.

Brightening Essence is a luxurious, restorative serum containing a high concentrate of fullerene, and it’s designed to rejuvenate the skin, and leave it looking plump and hydrated. Each vial is a two week supply, and each night for a fortnight I patted several drops into my skin which produced a visible difference, in particular enhancing radiance. Brightening Enhancer also contains fullerene, and it comes in a spray bottle. I found that it was absorbed into the skin quickly, and left it feeling smooth and hydrated, while also prepping the skin for the next step of my skincare routine. Finally, Brightening Lotion is a lovely, lightweight moisturiser containing sunflower oil, shea butter, glycerin and the hero ingredient, fullerene, which not only keeps the skin hydrated for longer, but also helps to keep shine at bay. Using it twice daily, it left my skin looking healthy, hydrated and very soft. I particularly liked the light texture of the lotion living in humid southeastern Queensland, a it didn’t feel heavy on my skin.

Beauty In Travel Loves

  • Juva Skincare respects environment, and all packaging comes from recycled materials.
  • The products are highly effective, but also gentle and mild.
  • They contain no additives, and they are 100% fragrance free, paraben free, and not tested on animals.
  • Juva Skincare is suitable for use by both sexes.
  • A change to skin is promised within two weeks, but I found it was sooner.

Insider Tips

  • The 2 x vials of Brightening Essence are meant to last about two weeks each, however, I found a little went a long way it lasted for longer.

    Sounds Interesting 5 Star Review

I haven't changed my skin care products in a long time but am looking around, and this brand sounds great. Although I have never heard of it! Thanks for sharing, food for thought.
