Road Test

I have to admit I’m one of those gals who has a bit of a love-hate relationship with lipstick and lip gloss. I go through phases when I wear one or the other, and at other times neither; it depends on my mood, the state of my lips, and if I’m travelling or not. What I do always have to hand, and use quite frequently at times, however, is a lip balm, choosing ones which contain natural ingredients, and none of the nasties which can cause you lips to dry out even more. So when it comes to travelling, I’m more likely to take something which doubles up as a lip balm and a lip tint. I was offered SALT By Hendrix Cocolips to test, and loved it from the get-go for a variety of reasons. For one, it ticks all the boxes when it comes to natural and certified organic ingredients, of which the lineup includes coconut oil, cocoa butter, argan oil, jojoba oil and shea butter. But this nifty balm comes in several shades and doubles up as a tint, not only for your lips but also for your cheeks. The colour I had to hand was rose quartz, which delivered a peachy rose colour and plenty of shine to wherever it was applied. The balm comes in a small, 35oz pot, so you can apply it with a fingertip, and it’s easy to carry. Best of all the formula is rich, hydrating and it makes your pout look great.

Beauty In Travel Loves

  • The tint is long wearing.
  • The lineup of nourishing organic oil.
  • It not only soothes lips if they’re dry or dehydrated - it can be used merely as a lip tint too.

Insider Tips

  • SALT By Hendrix Cocolips can also be used as a tint for your cheeks!
  • Only use a small amount, and a mirror if possible, to avoid applying outside of the lip line.
