Road Test

In 2006 I read a book which was life changing as far as my skincare is concerned. The book in question is Dr Leslie Baumann's bestseller, The Skin Type Solution, a skincare bible which goes into great detail about skin types and what works for them, going way beyond simply dry, oily and combination. One of many things I discovered about my skin from an in-depth questionnaire was that the foaming cleansers I'd been using for years were doing more harm than good. For my skin type, which was a rather complex "dry, sensitive, pigmented and wrinkled", I should be using creamy cleansers only. From that moment on I made the switch and have honestly never looked back. Cleansers are an important part of your skin care regime year-round, but I find this especially so in summer, and when you travel. One reason is that that there is often more to slough off your face at night, from excess sweat to sunscreens, possibly fake tan, tinted moisturiser and or a bronzer. As a result you need to use a cleanser which is not only thorough but also gentle on the skin, especially if your skin is dry or mature, so it’s left soft, smooth and ready for your serum and a moisturiser. Medik8’s Cream Cleanse is a perfect choice for a number of reasons. Top of the list is that the formula is velvety, rich and it effortlessly sweeps away make-up, sunscreen and dirt to leave your skin feeling clean, soft and and refreshed. A key ingredient in the formula is natural shea butter, which has been combined with plant saponins, which are emulsifying agents which possess antioxidant, regenerative, and anti-ageing properties, that help the cleanser remove excess oil, dirt and make-up from the skin, even around the eyes. However the cleanser also contains softening glycerine along with organic sweet orange oil, which gives it a mildly citrus aroma while also acting as a natural antioxidant. Medik8 Cream Cleanser is pH balanced, making it ultra-gentle, and it’s non-comedogenic so it won’t clog pores. Using the cleanser is easy, and it’s recommended twice a day even in the morning. Simply apply a small amount to a cotton pad or your fingertips and massage onto the dry skin of your face and neck, before removing with a warm, damp cloth. Medik8 Cream Cleanser is a wonderful addition to your skin care regime, especially if you are a traveller, as it leaves your skin feeling only deeply cleansed but also refreshed, hydrated and healthier. A must for all lovers of great looking skin.

    Great

Cream cleansers are so much better for all skins including mature, sensitive and anyone with skin conditions! Foaming cleansers strip the skin of essential oils and moisture. I'll be sure to put this one on my list!

    Sounds Expensive

It had better be good for that price! Can a cleanser really make that much difference?
