Recently, the French pharmacy favourite brand Bioderma launched an all-time favourite from its Photoderm Range into the Australian market. It’s likely to be a major hit for a variety of reasons.

  • What Is It: A creamy BB cream.
  • Why buy: It contains a high SPF.
  • The Details: Photoderm BB Cream with SPF 50+ costs RRP $36.99 for 40 mL, and it comes in two shades, Light and Golden. Available from Adore Beauty and www.cosmetiquesdefrance.com.au.

Road Test

The Photoderm Range has an impressive lineup of over 40 sun care products to cover all of your skin's needs, and one of the latest go-to products to hit beauty shelves ahead of the summer is Bioderma's Photoderm BB Cream with SPF 50+. It’s been dubbed the ultimate tinted skin perfector, which not only protects your skin against UV rays thanks to its high SPF factor, but also delivers a dry touch, matt finish which looks great. Exclusive to the Bioderma Photoderm Range is a key ingredient, Cellular Bioprotection®, which promises to protect the skin's cells and DNA, while working to even out skin tone and fight premature skin ageing. And in good news for anyone with a sensitive skin, this BB cream doesn’t irritate, and is ideal for everyday wear, smoothing your complexion as well as protecting it, with a lovely non-greasy, anti-shine texture. Using it is easy; after cleansing and toning, apply the BB cream to the skin evenly and blending it. You’ll find the formula absorbs pretty quickly, and if you want to layer it for a heavier coverage you can. It has very little fragrance, which quickly disappears anyway, and you can use it as a base for full makeup if needed if you’re heading out to an important event during the day. The BB cream doesn’t cause any breakouts and when I road tested it, it lasted well and was easy to wash off at the end of the day.
