Road Test

The last Sassou Japan product I wrote about recently is a facial cleansing bar which cost $100, but which delivers genuine results within days. The second product in the Sassou Japan Goldwaver skin care range I have been fortunate to try is Essence Toner, which possesses a formula more akin to a light serum, and also quickly boosts your skin. In case you’re not familiar with Sassou Japan, it’s a brand which merges traditional Japanese skincare practices and ingredients with cutting edge technological research, and is somewhat new to the Australian market. The Gold Beauty Cleansing Bar and Essence Toner are just two from an impressive lineup of innovative products in the collection. I’ve been a fan of Japanese skin care for a long time, which is known for the use of high quality ingredients, functionality and effectiveness, while also having a focus on promoting skin clarity and luminance. Like the Beauty Cleansing Bar, gold is a key ingredient in the Essence Toner. Studies in gold appear to show that the wavelengths at which negative ions are released are similar to that of the human body, allowing gold to reinvigorate cellular bioelectric currents which weaken as a result of ageing. What in means in terms of skin care is that, as a heat conducting metal, gold actively draws heat to the skin’s surface upon application and stimulates blood flow and circulation. Essence Toner works hand-in-hand with the Beauty Cleansing Bar, which simply means you apply it after cleansing your skin, and it’s designed to be detoxifying, while also refining pores and keeping the skin hydrated. Besides the gold, which brightens the skin and helps to increase collagen production, the formula also contains honey to repair skin damage, hydrate and rejuvenate the skin, Algae Extract, which improves elasticity and nourishes the skin, and Pinus Sylvestris Cone Extract which prevents skin from sagging. Suitable for all skin types, all you need to so is apply a small amount to your face and neck morning and night, and gently into the skin for full absorption. After using it the first time, and after the Beauty Cleansing Bar, my skin felt amazing; it was clean, clear, soft and looked and felt hydrated. Like most Japanese skin care it doesn’t come cheap, but a 50ml bottle will last a good while, and you need to remember it does what it promises.

    Expensive But..... 4 Star Review

Yes it's expensive but Japanese skin care is top quality. I've been using SK-II for about five years and never looked back but this is intriguing......might have to give it a go!
