Where We Stayed: 

Our home for two nights was a bright and spacious ocean facing, One Bedroom Suite on the 19th floor. The views from the bathroom, bedroom and lounge were simply breathtaking, and the wide, generously proportioned balcony provided the perfect position from which to take it in. While the sea breeze gently wafted through the apartment, at night we were most grateful for the heavy block out curtains that meant we could continue to doze after the early morning light broke. There was even a pillow menu to ensure a most restful night’s sleep. Our modern, elegantly designed and comfortable space provided fast Wi-Fi access and the latest movies free on demand as well as a DVD player and sound system. With a Nespresso machine and a variety of pods available, we kicked back and made much use of the apartment’s generous amenity, enjoying lazy afternoons lounging in air-conditioned comfort while taking shelter from the hot sun outside.

• Ask for an ocean-facing suite, as the views are to die for, and on a high level floor as during busy periods like school holidays, you may hear noise from the street.

• Leave your car behind and hop on the tram to Surfers Paradise and beyond.
