The Space

The Gold Coast is one of Australia’s top holiday destinations for good reason, and when it comes to hubs, Surfers Paradise is it; a beachfront community with restaurants, bars, activities and events almost every week, and a long stretch of golden sand beach stretching sooth as far as the eye can see. There are dozens of apartment resorts to choose from, but if you’re looking for something spacious and modern, with resort facilities and unbeatable views, Peppers Soul ticks all the boxes - especially for couples. For one, it stands opposite the beach soaring 77 storeys into the sky; just entering the impressive lobby, the high ceiling and dramatic marble staircase set a tone more akin to a big city five-star hotel. It also has all the attractions of a full-service resort, from a beachfront pool to 24-hour reception, so if you're heading here for a romantic getaway, or to attend a major event such as the Gold Coast 600, it’s a perfect home away from home for couples looking for a stylish beach getaway.

Where We Stayed

Our home for this escape was a Two-Bedroom Sky View Apartment located on the 41st floor, more than half way up the building, with jaw-dropping, panoramic views including the hinterland from a generous balcony. Ideal for one couple or two, it had everything you could want for a luxury beach holiday. The full sized kitchen was equipped with an Italian coffee machine, cutlery, plates and utensils, and European appliances including a double fridge, a dishwasher, stove top, and a microwave. If you fancied a night “in” after a busy day on the beach or sightseeing around the Gold Coast, you could cook a gourmet meal here without any issues. There were three flat-screen TVs, one in the living area and one in each bedroom, and seating for six on the huge balcony as well as a comfy day-bed. The master bedroom opened onto the primary balcony, and had a really comfortable king sized bed with crisp linens, and from the walk-in closet, the bathroom had a decent sized spa tub with a privacy blind, a double vanity, and a walk-in shower. The second bedroom was no less shabby, with a petite balcony of its own, and with a combined bathroom and toilet accessed from the open plan living area. The palette of colours was easy on the eye with plenty of earth tones including cream, soft grey and biscuit, with splashes of colour in cushions and artwork.

    The Soul of Surfers'

Posted by Vicki Rae on 23rd Nov 2019

It's called Soul for a reason. The passionate energy around Peppers Soul is tangible. From the upbeat concierges whose energy seems endless, to the reception staff who remember you by name and not "room number", it's the little things that matter, The rooms are of course divine, and comfort and luxury is as important as cleanliness thanks to the super fastidious housekeeping team. The main outdoor pool reeks of luxury as you overlook the beach, but it really comes alive in Summer with poolside food and beverage service as well as a live DJ who will happily oblige requests. UNlike some hotels, It's not a cliquey pool. You will feel equally as comfortable as a trend-setter or as an older person in swimmers which haven't seen daylight since the 60's. And for some glorious reason, the children are so so well-behaved that their noise just adds to the overall vibe of enjoyment. Besides, there are so many places to position yourself, either in the sun or in the shade, near the action or in a quiet corner retreat, that you can find your perfect spot. In the early evenings when you might find yourself relaxing on your spacious balcony, you can hear the talented musicians who perform in the mall below. If sleep is your preference, simply slide the balcony doors and you won't hear a thing. The morning sun can be a painful awakening, but Soul Peppers has blockout curtains. A definite plus! The biggest decision you'll have to make in the morning is whether to go for a swim in the patrolled beach right across the road, pick a spot for breakfast from the unbelievable number of options, or get up and go with all the touristy things to do. If keeping in touch with reality is your thing, WiFi is super fast and reliable, I find that when I travel, there's often something wrong with something in the room - whether it be that I can't work out how the TV or Air-Con works or that a light has blown. No problem - the maintenance guys are super responsive! The only glitch at Soul is the lifts at peak periods. You can expect a waiting time of up to 5 minutes to get you to ground level, In recent times, Soul's popularity has been eclipsed by a couple of other newer holiday apartment buildings nearby, Having stayed at those, I can vouch for Soul's solid stand as the number one luxury accommodation provider in Surfers. Peppers Soul remains the essence of Surfers accommodation when you want the best,

We love the Goldie, visit every couple of years with either friends or the kids. Peppers is the best place, it's pricey but the units are brilliant and the views unbeatable. The new bar looks great too!
