If you are searching for a luxury resort offering elegant villas, friendly staff, and a bespoke wellness experience as well as a romantic getaway, Rosewood Phuket has it all.

  • Location: Situated at beautiful Emerald Bay, on the island's southern tip, just 60 minutes from the airport.
  • Accommodations: This sophisticated beach resort has 71 luxury pavilions and villas set in a tropical, natural environment. Innovative modern design elements blended with a hint of Thai tradition create a haven of comfort and bliss. All villas and pavilions have their own private pool, with picturesque views of the Andaman Sea.
  • Dining options: There are four restaurants and lounges to choose from offering some of the island's best and most indulgent cuisine. “The Shack” by the pool serves healthy snacks and juices, while “Ta Khai” is famous for its authentic Thai style curries using the freshest seafood. For a dining experience that goes beyond gastronomic pleasures, head to “Red Sauce” for a romantic dining experience, where Italian Head Chef Luca meticulously prepares and artfully plates dishes from the Italian or Asaya Spa menu including delicious vegan options.
  • What else is there: Private yoga and meditation sessions can be booked at the 24-hour fitness centre where pilates, high intensity interval training (HIIT) and bootcamps are also on offer.
  • Wellness Programs: Rosewood Phuket has a range of health programs allowing guests to explore their own unique path to wellness. They include Mindful Eating, Ideal Balance, Inner Peace, Meditation and Yoga, or if you need a kick start with your fitness there’s the Life Energized program. Each program is designed to help you uncover new techniques to de-stress, practise stillness and understand the healing power of food.
  • What’s nearby: A short drive from the resort is Wat Chalong, a popular temple, which provides an opportunity to delve into Thai culture and history. Also nearby is Phuket’s most famous landmark, Big Buddha, where sunset offers magnificent views of Chalong Bay.
  • Why go: This impressive beach resort is perfect for a romantic escape or couple’s wellness holiday where you can rejuvenate in Asaya Spa, soak up the sun by the lavish pool, and enjoy a bespoke culinary experience.

The Space

Rosewood Phuket is a sophisticated and secluded luxury hotel set on 43 lush acres of natural beauty and is the perfect backdrop for an intimate couple’s getaway. It first opened in November 2017, a first for the brand in South East Asia, and continues to win awards. The resort is home to the prestigious Asaya Spa, a new concept which intentionally lends itself to healing and renewal. It is set in a beautiful plant filled environment with the soothing sound of cascading water and the scent of unique aroma oils filling the air. The resort has been designed to give guests an immersion into nature and create a sense of tranquillity, from the elegant pavilions featuring natural wood, and a soft-toned décor throughout the resort, to infinity edge pools and restaurants with uninterrupted views of the Andaman Sea.

Where We Stayed

First impressions are striking as I enter my exquisite 130sqm ocean view villa which includes a separate lounge and private terrace pool. The architectural design elements and décor have been elegantly woven together creating a harmonious space featuring a gentle colour palette that reflects nature’s purity. There’s soft furnishings in natural earthy tones, and furniture designed in dark wood paired with the sophistication of cool creamy marble as you make your way into the spacious bathroom, where a freestanding bathtub with separate rain shower stand out. I loved the concept of his and hers sinks and wardrobes with elegant bath robes and slippers. All the plush comforts you could possibly dream of and never want to leave this serene sanctuary. Loves

  • Red Sauce Restaurant with its incredible mix of Italian and Healthy cuisine.
  • The exquisite villas each with their own private pool and luxury amenities.
  • Cocktails at “Mai” pool side lounge at sunset, the perfect place to chill out on a hot summer day.

Insider Tips

  • I highly recommend the “Like a Fertile Land” deluxe treatment in Asaya Spa.
  • Book a private yoga class early in the morning.
  • Explore the traditional Thai food at “Ta Khai” - it’s the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed, romantic dinner with views of the ocean.

    Romance And Health

Posted by Terri Traveller on 23rd Jan 2019

What's not to love about a romantic getaway where you can also get healthy and focus on you? I have been to Thailand, and Phuket, but haven't heard of this place.....although we're not into yoga or new age stuff, I reckon you can still benefit from staying at a place like this. The villas look gorgeous anyway. Thanks for the inspiration!
