Road Test

The market for mobile phone cases is incredibly busy, but there are a number of features most people are looking for when it comes to buying one. For some it’s all about looks, while others are using their phones in situations which require extra durability, and everyone wants a cover to be practical. So if you can combine all three of these requirements, why not?

Element phone cases tick all these boxes, and more. Element’s roots lie in a Silicon Valley garage full of bikes, motorcycles, a '69 Camaro, and a dog named Sprocket—the studio of industrial designer Jeff Sasaki. Then in 2007 came the launch of the first iPhone, an event which inspired Sasaki to design and manufacture a range of cases which combine great tech with good looks. The new Rally case for iPhone XS Max and XR is a perfect example of how things have evolved over a decade, and we had a sample in Clear to road test.

This gorgeous case is built for the unexpected knocks and bumps that your iPhone can encounter in daily life, made from a crystal clear polycarbonate material which protects your phone while while letting its beauty shine through. It also has a number of other desirable features other than good looks. Top of the list in are drop-shock corners, which provide top notch shock absorption and superior drop protection. There’s also table top protection front and back; the perimeter of the case is raised above the front to keep phone screen from coming in direct contact with surfaces, while a raised back bezel helps to keep case scratch free.

This case is also designed to meet military specification drop-test requirements, including 10/65 high impact protections, and the cool ergonomic design makes it comfortable to hold, and secure in your grasp. The case is made from two key materials, including thermoplastic polyurethane and polycarbonate. Thermoplastic polyurethane is a flexible material which has features including elasticity, transparency, resistance to oil, and abrasion, while polycarbonate is strong and easily moulded. The result is an iPhone case which combines stylish good looks and the ultimate in protection.

I am looking for a new case so this was timely. Haven't heard of this brand either, I usually just buy something from my local telecoms shop but might check this out.

    Looks Nice

I don't really like girlie covers and some are too masculine, but the clear one looks nice. Good price too.
