Road Test

While packing for your beach holiday you’ll want to include a good quality sunscreen to protect your skin, and the SPF 50+ Lotion all-rounder from Sun Bum is worth adding to your list. If you haven’t heard of the brand, it’s a range of quality lifestyle products specifically designed to protect your skin and hair from the sun and water, ideal for people who live in and love the sun, and well suited to travellers and holidaymakers. Among the range of products I got to try was Sun Bum’s SPF 50+ Lotion, which is a lovely moisturising sunscreen with a formula designed to protect your skin from UVA/UVB rays while also nourishing it thanks to vitamin E, an antioxidant which can neutralise free radicals and help slow down premature skin ageing. This sunscreen is deal for everyday use, offering UVA/UVB broad spectrum protection, along with being four hours water resistant and sweat resistant. It is also wonderfully lightweight and non greasy, which is unusual for a lotion with such a high protection factor, and is also sheer on the skin while being fast absorbing. To use, simply shake the tube and apply liberally onto clean dry skin around 20 minutes prior to sun exposure, and reapply every few hours, after swimming, exercise, excessive perspiration or towel drying. If you also want to protect your lips you’ll love Sun Bums range of SPF 15 lip balms, which come in a variety of “flavours” and contain soothing cocoa butter. They not only offer decent sun protection, but also have added aloe and vitamin E to protect and moisturise your lips all day long and a lovely to wear. They can also relieve the drying effects of sun, wind and sea, restore chapped lips - the challenge will be trying not to lick it off.
