The Ship

Seabourn Encore is yet another change in direction for the ultra-luxury cruise line, with this five-star vessel going up a notch in size and carrying more guests than before. Launching at the end of last year, designer Adam D. Tihany has given her a rich and sophisticated look, with wide use of dark blue and mahogany, and plenty of light. The ship also has spacious accommodations, top quality cuisine, and a semi-formal, un-stuffy vibe. New to this class of ship for Seabourn is all-suite accommodation with even the lowest category featuring a decent-sized balcony, a marble bathroom and a walk-in closet. Also new are two restaurants, Sushi and The Grill by Thomas Keller, the jewel in the ship’s crown. And when it comes to enrichment, Ventures by Seabourn has a small team of experts on board to teach guests about wildlife and the environment wherever the ship is cruising.
