Also on site is is a serenity room with a glass roof, which is bathed in natural sunlight, dotted with tropical foliage, and equipped with comfortable loungers to relax on. And there's an outdoor mineral spa with privacy.

The Space
When it comes to visiting a spa in Gold Coast, a top spot for romantic getaways in southeast Queensland, these days there are more venues to choose from than ever before. At the luxury end of the scale, if you are seeking a more indulgent experience, the iconic Q1 in Surfer's Paradise, while not a hotel as such, has expansive leisure facilities including a day spa with offerings ideal for relaxing a couples' getaway. It's located in the grounds, accessed from the tranquil poolside setting, and cleverly tucked away from the surf, noise and the hustle and bustle above ground. Marketed as a spa for men and women, walking into the intimate reception area on the top level, there's an instant warm welcome, and beyond, a restful waiting area which guests can use before or after their visit. From there, to change and enjoy your treatment, you head down to the next level, and what feels like a serene and dimly lit sanctuary; it's an atmosphere will have you relaxing instantly.
The Treatment
If you really feel like splashing out, the Luxe 4 in One is a 90 minute experience combines four of the spa’s most popular treatments. It begins with a vigorous head to foot sea salt exfoliation and buff, which sloughs off dead skin cells and really gets the skin silky smooth and glowing, as well as stimulating the circulation. The residue is then all washed off by the wonderfully hypnotic and calming jets of the Vichy Shower - one of my favourite treatments. The third step was a full body massage, using your choice of massage oils depending on your mood or intention, using circular massage techniques which ease tension from muscles, promote calmness of the mind, and increase the flow of energy through the body. The final step in this all-encompassing ritual was a relaxing LI’TYA signature facial. The only disappointment was that I felt for the money the entire treatment, especially the massage, could have been longer.
