Beautifully Bronzed For Summer

I never used to like bronzers much, but over the years the products on offer, from affordable to luxury, have improved so much that I have been temped to set aside my prejudices and give them a try again. New to beauty shelves is a Murumuru Butter Bronzer from Physicians Formula, a bronzer infused with authentic Brazilian Murumuru Butter which promises to deliver an exotic, radiant goddess glow onto your skin. Murumuru Butter is an ingredient from the lush and nutrient-rich Amazon that contains a surplus of essential fatty acids and pro-vitamins that soften, condition and moisturise skin to leave it silky soft. Paula’s Choice has given it the thumbs up, so you can imagine the benefits of it being part of the formula of a bronzer. The shade I got to try was Light Bronzer, and for a start, the packaging is rather fun with a distinctly tropical feel, with green and purple hues. The bronzer looks like a light caramel sauce which has melted and been gently stirred; take a closer look and you’ll see an alluring shimmer on the surface. It also has a vague tropical aroma combining coconut with pineapple like a retro suntan oil. On my skin the shade was best described as a soft golden beige, which is nicely warm and lightly shimmery; personally I preferred to apply it using a kabuki brush, but the sponge applicator is handy for top ups on the move or in an emergency. The formula also has a nice texture, blends quite well and doesn’t fade or slip easily, even in a hot climate. Ultimately this is an affordable product which costs just rrp $29.95, and which can be picked up easily in Priceline.
