International hearing specialists Audika have partnered with Qantas Frequent Flyer to help address the critical health issue of hearing loss in Australia.

With more than 3.6 million Australians living with hearing loss, and only 21 per cent seeking help for their condition, the partnership is encouraging more people to take better care of their hearing health by rewarding those who get their hearing checked. For the first time, Qantas Frequent Flyer members can receive Qantas Points when they have their first ever hearing check at one of Audika’s 400 clinics across Australia. Audika’s Managing Director Janet Muir has urged Australians to take advantage of this partnership and prioritise their hearing health.

“If you’ve never had your hearing checked, you could be rewarded with 1,000 Qantas Points when you have your hearing checked at any one of our clinics across Australia,” said Ms Muir. “This is a fantastic incentive for Australians, and on a more significant level, it reinforces our resounding commitment to improve Australians’ hearing health, by giving you a new opportunity to look after your hearing health."

"With the prevalence of hearing loss increasing with age to almost 60 per cent in Australians over 60 years of age, hearing health care is an important priority for everyone as we age. Research shows the links between hearing loss and depression, mental fatigue, reduced physical capacity, and recent studies are pointing to associations with dementia. We hope the popularity of earning Qantas Points will encourage more people to take the first step to hearing health by having a hearing check," says Ms Muir.

Audika conducts thousands of hearing checks across Australia and is a leading national provider of comprehensive hearing health care for adults, including counselling, rehabilitation, hearing devices, and offers a specialist referral pathway for cochlear implants and bone conduction hearing solutions.

Benefit today from getting your hearing checked before you travel

Travel is one of life’s most pleasant experiences, and prioritising hearing health before leaving for the airport will help ensure travellers get the most out of their holiday.

While a health check is always a good idea before taking a trip, many often overlook their hearing health.  Consider adding a hearing check to your pre-flight health check, as well as your annual health check.

This will allow you to identify any potential hearing loss and take appropriate measures.

The new partnership offers Qantas Frequent Flyers:
