BEAUTY PRODUCT OF THE WEEK - CK Shock For Him And Herby Joanna Hall
Calvin Klein is undoubtedly a pioneer in the genre of shared or unisex fragrances, starting out with the launch of what would become the cult classic, CK One, back in 1994, and followed by the sexy black bottle CK Be in 1996. With this latest category of the CK One range, however, Klein has created a pair of delicious skin fragrances designed for those times when couples don't feel like sharing.
CK Shock for him and for her are decidedly different fragrances which share sexy and impulsive overtones. If you've seen the ads on television, you'll know they are designed to be bold and edgy, depicting a youthful lifestyle which is almost carefree yet very urban, filled with music, beautiful people and living life to the full.
The packaging makes it easy to differentiate between the two. Both high gloss, there's black for him and white for her, with a vibrant-yet-simple touch of self-expression in the graffiti style scrawl of "shock" across the front; pink on the white, and vivid green on the black. The bottles are exactly the same style, with Klein's signature delivery option for both sexes - use the bottle like an aftershave, or spray using the pump dispenser contained in the box, it's your choice.
The key thing for both, however, is the shift in fragrance. Although they share common themes, they are quite different in a return to highly defined aromas designed specifically for the male and female olfactory senses. Hers is heavy with flowers; pink peony and jasmine, deepening with blackberry and fading out with patchouli. His is a fresh yet musky experience; clementine and cucumber, touched with black peppered and also fading out with patchouli.
Either way you'll love these two, fragrances perfect for summer loving and living.
